Local, As It Should Be
As a Rhode Island-based small business, we are so thankful for the support of the community here. It's because of you, Nitro Cartel, that we're able to spend our days brewing and bringing you (what we think is) the Best Coffee Ever. So we know how important it is to source locally and support other local small businesses.
For starters, these business owners are your friends and neighbors! They care about the community and the impact that they're making on it. This means that these businesses are more accountable to their communities, and they often donate more money to local non-profits and charity organizations. Also, a lot of these stores are better for the environment, too--they tend to have a smaller carbon footprint than larger commercial entities.
Also, supporting local businesses means investing in a local economy that you're a part of. These stores recycle revenue back into the community, so you'll see more of your money at work where you live. If you're into numbers, studies show that, for every $100 you spend at local businesses, $68 of it stays at home.
HOW DO WE SOURCE LOCALLY?
Our nitro cold brew is all local. We source our beans from a roaster located in southern Rhode Island, and we're thankful that we get to work with other Rhode Island-based companies to bring you something we love! Also, the nitro apple cider we're currently pouring at the cart is from Barden Family Orchard, located in North Scituate. Barden is a family-owned farm founded in 1931, and it's pretty cool that we can partner up to bring their cider to all of you.
Plus, we've got taps installed in so many other local businesses from Rhode Island all the way to Boston. Take a look at where else you can support us and other small businesses here.
